The LEAD H.263 codec is a high quality lossy interframe DirectShow and Video for Windows (VfW) codec with a quality and compression ratio comparable to MPEG-4. It can be used for a range of applications including video-conferencing, creating 3GPP files (H.263 Video/AMR Audio) for Playback on mobile phones, Internet video or survelliance and monitoring. The LEAD H.263 codec is suitable for videos captured from cameras as well as video screen captures. This video codec registers into the Windows® collection of Multimedia drivers and integrates with any application using DirectShow and Microsoft Video for Windows®.
